Pakistan Mobile App Award (ICT Activity)

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays a vital role in promoting inclusion, making society more accessible and empowering persons with disabilities in education, employment, and daily life.

KDN organized an awards program to recognize innovative mobile applications developed to enhance accessibility for persons with disabilities. Cash prizes were distributed to the top applications, acknowledging their creativity, functionality, and societal impact. Additional apps were also commended for their contribution to improving access to essential services.

A total of 30 proposals were submitted by cross-disability teams and evaluated by a panel of ICT and software experts. All submissions were assessed against transparent criteria, including innovation, public value, usability, sustainability, and overall quality of the application. The process ensured fairness and recognized solutions that could meaningfully improve accessibility and inclusion for persons with disabilities.

This program encouraged developers and innovators to create tools that support persons with disabilities in everyday activities, promoting independence, empowerment, and a more inclusive digital society.

KDN encourages developers and organizations to create mobile solutions that address the specific challenges faced by persons with disabilities, promoting independence, accessibility, and equal opportunities across society.

The initiative also fosters awareness about the importance of inclusive technology, inspiring communities to integrate accessible ICT tools into education, workplaces, and public services for sustainable social impact.
